Other than a tremendous view over Rhyl and Prestatyn, The actual view point situated at Gwaenysgor doesn't have any facilities other than a sloped car park that can fit around 12 cars. However, the view is mouth-watering and could be examined by your eyes for sometime. You will find that the car park's highest point is 505ft and from there you can see for miles out over the seaside towns and out to sea.

The best way to approach the View Point is from the South, in order to evade the 33% upwards gradient Hillside Road via the A5151. This route will take you through the scenic villages of Gwaenysgor and Trelawnyd where you can find some local businesses and if you need it; a petrol station. Visiting this location on a cloudy day is purposeless, in order to allow the view to inspire your eye's appetite visiting on a sunny clear day is highly recommended. This location is also well spent for groups of friends to visit in the evening and at the night, to overlook the lights that spread over view. This isn't a bad location for those looking for a quiet date night and are capable of spending their time just enjoying their partner's company, although your quiet date could be interupted by some groups who like to enjoy the odd 'drink' and their music at the same location.

The roads that approach the view point from the south are navigable for all experience levels of drivers. The majority of the A5151 adopts the national speed limit, to be sure you do not disregard the Gwaenysgor turning for a narrow farm approaching lane your eyes need to be peeled. There is a sign Labelled Gwaenysgor and this is the road you need to follow.

Clearly this location is just a viewpoint and unsuitable for people with short attention spans. For those whose attention goes on more 'thrilling' activities just down the road you will find the coast. The coast in this area of North Wales is activity filled, you will find beaches, mini golf, an outdoor pool and water park, a cinema, a skate-park and of course coast essential; Arcades.
